Summary : The Radiology Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care for a defined group of patients according to the hospital’s philosophy of patient care and standards of professional nursing practice. The registered nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for judgment and actions, maintains clinical competency and exercises informed judgment in delegating nursing care to others. The Registered Nurse promotes patient, family and staff learning. Education : In addition to the skills normally obtained through completion of a high school education, must be a graduate of an approved nursing program. Licensure : Must maintain a current Rhode Island license. ACLS certification required. Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the Registered Nurse (RN) in providing patient and family centered care that is safe, efficient, timely and effective. The CNA performs patient care under the direct supervision of an RN. The CNA is assigned tasks that are reasonably predictable, do not require assessment, interpretation or independent decision making during its performance or do not pose any risk to the patient. Summary: The role of the Patient Navigator, Geriatric Oncology, is to assist our patients over the age of 65 and family members to effectively access healthcare services. The Navigator will help individuals overcome obstacles ranging from financial and insurance difficulties to communication and information challenges; medical system barriers such as missed appointments; and emotional concerns. Functions as a liaison between the physician, patient/significant other, and third party payers to coordinate necessary services to facilitate care. As the Clinical supervisor – will oversee initial training and ongoing education of clinic medical assistant. Will be available in the clinic setting to provide nursing oversight of the out- patients seen in the physician’s clinical practice. Education: In addition to the skills normally obtained through completion of a High School education, must also have a Degree in Nursing and hold a current Rhode Island licensure. Experience: Substantial knowledge of healthcare system, Federal and State Regulations. Prior experience in the outpatient setting. Skills and Abilities: Advanced nursing skills.
