Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Overview

We are looking to add a passionate Nocturnist APP to our established hospitalist program. This position will be responsible for admitting, consulting, and cross coverage for our hospital. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for admitting, consulting and cross coverage for the hospital
  • Average number of nightly admits is 6 patients per shift

  • Manage 10 bed ICU, 30+ bed PCU (med/surg, tele)

  • High patient acuity but have physician pager backup if needed; hospitalist director always available if needed

  • Specialty services available

Qualifications

  • Experienced APP is preferred but we are willing to train a new graduate

Working Hours

- 12 hour shifts (7pm-7am), 7 days on/14 days off, Tuesday through Monday

Overview The Float Advanced Practice Provider provides flexible, high-quality primary care services across multiple clinic locations, filling coverage gaps and supporting continued patient care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations across assigned clinic sites. Diagnosis and manage acute, chronic, and preventative health conditions in alignment with evidence based guidelines. Develop and implement patient care plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and initiating referrals as deemed appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (Cerner). Collaborates with providers, care coordinators, medical assistants, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery. Participate in shared call with primary care providers.
