Job Summary:

Colonial Manor Advanced Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team! As a CNA, you will provide non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, and assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for our residents.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, nursing care, and food service functions, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and assisting with resident recreation programs

• Assist with resident care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge

• Document care provision on resident records/flowsheets as required and report accidents and incidents to the supervisor

• Maintain a safe, sanitized, and infection-controlled environment, adhering to facility policies and procedures

• Attend orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs as required by the state

• Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators, consistently presenting a professional appearance and attitude

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, and support other staff as needed

• Participate in training, educational activities, and staff meetings, and assist with orientation and training of new staff

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

• Work in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment

• Perform duties that require walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling

• Ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures, and communicate effectively with residents and staff

• Ability to remain calm under stress

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the State or within four (4) months of employment, complete state-required training and a competency evaluation program

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job

• Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and other staff, and work cooperatively with others

• Ability to maintain regular attendance and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
