What We're Looking For:

 

Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant. As a PCA, you will be responsible for delivering essential personal care services tailored to meet the unique needs of our patients.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  •  

  • Assist with patient laundry when necessary.

  •  

  • Provide medication reminders.

  •  

  • Ensure patient safety.

  •  

  • Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.

  •  

  • Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.

  •  

  • Monitor and record patient temperature.

  •  

  • Assist patients with ambulation.

  •  

  • Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.

  •  

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.

  •  

  • Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.

  •  

  • Offer bathing assistance.

  •  

  • Perform light housekeeping.

  •  

  • Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.

  •  

 

Requirements:

 

  •  

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  •  

  • Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.

  •  

  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

  •  

  • Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.

  •  

  • Current CPR certification.

  •  

  • Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws.

  •
