Nurse Care Manager- Private Duty

Full Job Description

We have many exciting opportunities available to work at our highly innovative home care company. While helping to grow skilled nursing in your local area and making sure the best care is delivered to all clients within Right at Home. We specialize in many different areas of nursing including some of the following, G-Tube care, PICC Line maintenance, higher level of wound care, short-term and long-term respite services.  Locally owned and operated, Right at Home in Alabama, has cared for the residents in communities across the state on the heartfelt principles of preserving comfort, dignity, and quality of life at home for those in need of professional care. Our total approach to in-home health care covers everything from chronic and long-term care to recovery and returning to normal life. This has allowed us to uniquely position our company to offer an incomparable continuum of care services for patients of all ages. Our Agency provides services throughout the state including, Huntsville, Decatur, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Montgomery. Right at Home is not a traditional home care agency we are not Medicare regulated so there is no OASIS documentation.

  •  Must Haves:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state
  • 2 years of nursing experience (home health/hospice preferred)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must possess and maintain current CPR certification

Registered Nurse Unit Manager

FLSA: Salaried Exempt Generally Reports to: DON The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. SUMMARY In conjunction with the DON, plans, coordinates and manages the clinical services for a specified nursing unit. Responsible for the coordination and of nursing care and services provided to Residents in the various units and is responsible for facilitating the interdisciplinary team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality resident care. Facilitates the resolution of issues and concerns associated with resident / patient care including family issues. Implements and evaluates all nursing procedures and systems relative to unit programming. Makes nursing diagnoses that serve as the basis for the strategy of care. Performs nursing assessments regarding the health status of the resident / patient. Develops a plan of care and implements nursing care based on assessment. Provides health education to patients and their families. Participates in quality assurance activities. Adheres to scope of practice limitations based on qualifications. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations. Will perform general nursing duties in cases of emergency or staffing shortages. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing preferred. Valid State registrations and certifications as required based on the programming of the unit. One to three years (1-3) years of supervisory experience preferred. *Note: Other incumbents may have specific training or education in the healthcare field (other than as a licensed nurse) to ensure proficiency in the requirements of the position (i.e., Master's Degree, Registered Therapist, Para-medic, etc.). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises Licensed Nursing staff, CNAs, and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
