Certified Home Health Aide

Job Summary:

Associated Home Care of NJ is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides to join our team in Evesham, New Jersey. As a Certified Home Health Aide with Associated Home Care of NJ, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals in need of care. Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Assist with daily living activities such as eating, walking, and transferring

  • Help with medication reminders and simple wound care

  • Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks

  • Engage with clients in activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being

  • Maintain accurate records of client care and communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals as needed

  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Must be certified as a Home Health Aide (HHA) with a valid certification from the State of New Jersey

  • 1 year of experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adjust to changing client needs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and move clients, as well as perform physically demanding tasks

  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others

Now Hiring - Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) This Certified Home Health Aide will be responsible for, but not limited to: Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails. Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient. Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse. Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry. Feeds and assists with meals. Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse. Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information. Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.
