Radiology Nurses provide care to inpatients and outpatients across the life spectrum undergoing studies and procedures in all imaging modalities. Staff also oversee clinical management of patients intra procedure and are responsible for administration of moderate sedation. Care includes: IV starts, central line access, general anesthesia, patient preparation, procedural sedation, management of emergency events, and maintenance of a safe patient environment. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass, Heartmate© II or III & Heartware© mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation. During the week there is an experienced resource nurse available to assist with admissions/discharges, transport monitoring, and emergencies. This Registered Nurse (RN) will help lead different initiatives and support the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operations of the unit, provide resources to staff and help provide patient care. This role is vital in ensuring the unit runs smoothly. The Registered Nurse Lead will provide clinical and operational leadership while supporting the day-to-day management of the nursing team. In this role, the RN will oversee employment activities, conduct performance evaluations, facilitate staff development and training, and support performance improvement initiatives. The RN will mentor and empower nursing staff, fostering a culture of quality, safety, collaboration, and professional growth. We are looking for a caring and compassionate RN for our third shift (3:00p-11:00p). This Full-time RN candidate should be able to work using the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facilitate policies and procedures while using sound nursing judgement. Must be able to plan and deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care as well as direct and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel. Every other weekend availability is a requirement for this position.
