Shifts Available: 8am-5:00p Mon-Fri with on-call rotation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing to ensure the smooth operation of the nursing department

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the nursing staff, including medication administration, vital signs, and resident care

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as therapy, dietary, and activities, to ensure comprehensive care and programming

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and quality of life

  • Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff to meet the needs of the facility

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects

  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including census, staffing, and resident data.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a nurse or in a nursing leadership role, preferred

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

  • Familiarity with nursing regulations and standards of practice

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
