Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Director and the direct supervision of a Registered   or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients.  These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 

High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred. 

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant. American Heart Association BLS required.

Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Administrator and the direct supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Skilled Nursing Activity Coordinator, CNA (Activity Coordinator) provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients. The Activity Coordinator develops, coordinates and manages activities for Skilled Nursing Center patients/ residents. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION High school graduate or GED equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Previous experience working with aged or handicapped individuals. Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant. Basic Life support Certification through the American heart Association. Certified Activities Director or currently enrolled in state approved activities director course.
