JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, Patient Care Manager, Director, and Vice President of Patient Care, the Registered Nurse administers individualized age-appropriate patient care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patient according to the established nursing standards and Nurse Practice Act of Missouri.

Job Description

Education:

- Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program- required

Certification & Licensures:

- Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri or eligible for licensure while having a Missouri work permit- required

- BLS Certification- required

- IV Certified- required

Experience:

- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred, but not required.

You will direct and monitor the care provided by CNAs and consistently ensure proper documentation and recording is taking place. Your ability to lead is crucial in both the success of the CNAs and the care of the patients. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for timely, accurate medication administration of assigned team and concurrent required documentation. Performs treatments and documents progress of same as per physician orders and facility protocol. Assures concise, pertinent and complete resident care documentation using computerized medical record process. Assures the initiation of appropriate care pathway tools. Directs CNA assigned to the team in the timely completion of quality individualized personal care in compliance with resident's individual care plans. Ensures CNA documentation is accurate and complete. Responsible for receiving/giving relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols.
