Right at Home provides in-home care for seniors and disabled adults. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. The company is based in Palmetto Bay, Florida. We are currently looking for a creative, passionate, and enthusiastic Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) to complete assessments for new and current clients.

As the Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN), the goal is to ensure clients receive the highest quality care in accordance with Company standards. Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the Company, plans and coordinates care objectives that promote quality within the Company, both within and outside the Company.

Client locations are:

  • Key West

  • Summerland Key

  • Big Pine Key

Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) Essential Functions: 

  • Ensures compliance with company policy and all federal, state, and local regulating bodies and conditions of participation.

  • Remains informed and updated on home health regulations and standards.

  • Ensures all relevant high-risk data is communicated to staff prior to the start of care.

  • Ensures documentation is accurate and complete within each client's chart.

  • Schedules and supervises all nursing functions while maintaining complete compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Maintains an ongoing liaison with clients, client families, company employees, and outside contractors.

  • Arranges and negotiates services provided through contractual agreements.

  • Ensures the quality of patient care and service by using specialized knowledge and judgment to assure patient care standards are in compliance with applicable State Practice acts and Agency policies.

  • Promotes a positive image of the Agency within the office and in the community.

  • Ensure that Quality Assurance is the focus and we are following Client Experience policies and procedures.

Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) Additional (non-essential) Functions:

  • Represent the agency before the public as required

  • Builds and maintains trusting relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Works both in the office and in clients’ homes as required for assessments and supervisory visits.

  • Display high knowledge in the agency service lines, service fees, and client base

  • Able to propose services and institutes contractual agreements with clients

 Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) EDUCATION / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and Medicare guidelines, and any related federal and state rules and regulations

  • Ability to effectively communicate with good oral and written communication skills

  • One year of supervisory experience required

  • Home care experience required

  • Read, write, spea,k and understand English as needed for completion of the job

  • Current CPR certification

  • Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a two-person transfer with a Hoyer Lift for educational purposes

Per Diem Registered Nurse (PRN) Preferred Experience:

  • Excellent Documentation skills

  • Knowledge of common geriatric medications

  • G-J Tube

  • S/P Catheter care

  • G-button care and use

  • Quadriplegic experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract.

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per visit
