You will work alongside a skilled team of MA’s and an expert surgical team to ensure every patient receives the highest level of compassionate, specialized treatment right here at home. Position Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with some flexibility of shifts What You’ll Do: Measure and record vital signs Prepare patients for examinations Assist provider with exams and minor procedures Prepare medications Ensure chart completeness for patient consultations Assist with coordination of surgery schedule Prior authorizations for procedures, testing, DME supplies etc. Triage of patient phone calls Assist with Quality Improvement projects Regular communication with providers regarding patient care both verbally and through the EMR Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA. What You’ll Need : Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required) 2 years’ experience (Preferred) EMR experience (Required) Strong writing and verbal skills Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required. Ability to work through interruptions, manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations.
