We Are Hiring Medical Assistants 1 & 2's in areas:

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant
educational program recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education (USDE).

Experience:
• Medical Assistant 1
(no previous experience required)
• Medical Assistant 2
(minimum 2 years experience)

Certifications:
Must be certified by one of the below or eligible:

  • CMA- Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)®

  • RMA- Registered Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists (AMT)

  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Healthcare Association (NHA)

  • NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant (NHA - NCCT)

  • NRCMA - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

  • HIV & AIDS Certification: Florida HIV/AIDS Healthcare Professional Continue Education (CE) Certification.

*Medical Assistants without an approved certification must:
• Provide proof of completion, from an approved educational program.
• Sign an Agreement Statement, stating candidate shall obtain a National wide
or Statewide MA certification no more than 12 months from the date of hire.

Processes patient phone messages, returning calls and routing them to other team members as appropriate; calls patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Upon physician approval and authorization, calls in prescriptions to the pharmacy. Uses communication skills with appropriate medical terminology; and follows appropriate legal and ethical professional conduct; authorized individuals will use the ChenMed Rx system to support physician medication dispensing. This position requires 5-10% travel time. Performs other related duties as assigned.
