Job Summary:

El Paso Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing orthopedic team. You will work alongside 2 orthopedic surgeons and 2 advanced practice providers, primarily supporting outpatient clinic operations with additional inpatient and surgical responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license within a collaborative, patient-centered group known for high-quality orthopedic care in the El Paso region.

Position Highlights
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Setting: Primarily outpatient clinic with some inpatient rounding and first-assist surgical duties
  • Sites: Rotating among three clinic locations
  • Team Structure: Join a dedicated team of 2 orthopedic surgeons and 2 experienced APPs
  • Environment: Fast-paced, supportive orthopedic practice with strong mentorship and autonomy
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations in the clinic setting
  • Manage follow-up visits, pre- and post-operative assessments
  • Assist surgeons with procedures as needed, including first-assist responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient rounding and coordinate care with the surgical team
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Provide patient education and care coordination
  • Document thoroughly in the EMR and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physician partners
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current NP certification
  • Active or eligible Texas NP license
  • Previous orthopedic experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with surgical interest are welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively with a supervising physician in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Strong surgical fundamentals, first assist experience, and pediatric experience are highly preferred.
