Where You Will Work:   

This is a 14-bed medical oncology unit located in Cabarrus, NC at Atrium Health-Cabarrus offering a collaborative and dynamic environment for patient care. This unit specializes in caring for young adults to geriatric patients with oncology related diagnoses that range from cancer related illnesses, palliative care for pain management to complex system failure. Our team works closely with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians from multiple specialties, to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. We offer optional cross training between Oncology, Medical Telemetry, and Nephrology services.   

 

We’re Looking For:  

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing  

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.  

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Our clinical team includes nurses, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, doctors, care coordinators, pharmacists, and nurse navigators We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program. Oncology and triage experience What You’ll Do: The RN Transplant is a professional registered nurse and a designated member of the transplant team who provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader.. The RN works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation and will continue through the transplant process.
