Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

·       The Registered Nurse operating room provides nursing care and service during surgery cases.

·       The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. 

·       Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. 

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

·       Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Licensure/Certification:      

·       Currently licensed in the state of TX.

·       CPR required; advanced life support certification required.                                               

Required Experience:

·       One-year experience required intra-operative setting.

·       Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Serves as a resource to Senior Management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Willingness to learn computer applications necessary for work functions. Ability to adapt to changing situations and various personalities with a positive attitude. Ability to utilize Electronic Heath Care Record for patient documentation. Adheres to strictest confidentiality in dealing with patients, families, hospital personnel and the public. Knowledge of professional nursing principles and CMS Conditions of Participation for Utilization Review Knowledge of current third-party regulations, Medicare, Medicaid benefits and services Knowledge of medical billing procedures
