As a Nurse Practitioner, your clinical skills and superior customer service in providing medical care leads to a positive, effective patient experience. The main location for this role will be in Batavia, however, the NP may travel to other WorkReady locations as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Care. Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination and diagnostic testing data; develop a diagnosis, initiate treatment and health maintenance plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures; refer patients to collaborating physician, specialist and/or appropriate community services or agencies; prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment
  • Leadership. Provide health education, instruction, guidance and advisement to patients regarding medication and treatment; counsel family members and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs
  • Administrative Duties. Perform administrative functions to include completing insurance and when time permits, medical discharge documentation, providing guidance and teaching to ancillary personnel, communicating with and counseling family members, preparing daily billing sheets. Prepare complete chart entries on patient interactions, writing orders and recording progress notes

Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care MICU

Summary : The Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Unity and UMMC provides expert clinical care for critically ill patients. The NP will work in collaboration with ICU physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care. This role focuses on patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions, along with continuous monitoring of patient progress in a high-acuity environment. Status: Full Time Location: Unity; UMMC Department: ICU Schedule: Days; Weekends Responsibilities : Patient Care : Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the ICU team. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to formulate and adjust treatment plans.
