Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Cardiovascular Surgical Operating Room (OR) Nurse position based in the Greater Savannah Area. The role involves assisting surgeons during cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring a sterile surgical environment, monitoring patient care, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. The nurse will collaborate with the surgical team to perform preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, and assist in setting up, preparing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room procedures and knowledge of cardiac surgery protocols
Nursing skills with a focus on patient care, monitoring, and recovery
Understanding of surgical and operating room procedures
Commitment to surgical safety, precision, and adherence to healthcare standards
Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication abilities
Previous experience in cardiac surgery or operating room settings is preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or an equivalent degree
