Job Description Summary
Our Primary Care Nurse is a newly created role for the clinics. In this position the nurse will work closely with the Providers and manage triage calls/messages for the clinic. They will have the option to move hybrid after training is complete.

Position Details:

Mercy Clinics Primary Care - FLOAT (South County)

Position: Part-time (24 hours/week)

Location:

Mercy Technical Services

3637 S Geyer Rd

Saint Louis, MO 63127

Position will support surrounding clinics.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0800-1630

No nights, weekends, or holidays!

**Must complete three months of on-site training prior to transitioning to hybrid work-from-home schedule; Must also be available to come on-site for monthly clinic meetings **

Highly Preferred Skills:

Proficiency with Epic EMR system.

Timely and thorough patient triage skills.

Computer competency (most of this position will be computer work).

Excellent time management and prioritization.

Adaptability in a new and changing environment.

LPN Qualifications:

Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing.

Licensure: Active LPN license.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.

RN Qualifications:

Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, Graduation from registered nursing program, bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), OR 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.

Licensure: Active RN license.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Our pulmonary patients may be on high flow oxygen, BiPAP, or have tracheostomies or chest tubes. These patients require complex assessment, aggressive therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. We work closely with the Stroke Coordinator to care for Acute Stroke and TIA patients. We do utilize tele-neuro services at times. Neuro patients require frequent assessments to assess for subtle changes in condition. Stroke education is provided.
