Responsibilities

  • Under indirect supervision, provide independent primary care in a correctional healthcare setting to a specified population of non-emergency patients
  • Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health education
  • Obtain patient histories and develop patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
  • Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staff
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments
  • Participate in planning programs and in developing specific health polices and procedures

Qualifications

  • Current license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current CPR certification, ACLS certification preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience as a NP
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen

Who May Apply: US Citizens Responsibilities As a Physician (Pain Management/Physical Med & Rehabilitation) you will: Provide full range of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation evaluations, treatments and functional training towards maximum independence. Prescribe full spectrum of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech, Neuropsychology evaluations, social work services and serve as team leader for rehabilitation services. Perform comprehensive pain management using Trigger point and soft tissue injections, blocks, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercise programs.
