Responsibilities

  • Perform office procedures including; billing, bookkeeping and typing/correspondence
  • Ability to take vital signs, ECG and perform other clinical assistance tasks
  • Interacts with patients and families in a professional manner
  • Maintains professionalism while interacting with payors, vendors, insurance, etc.

Qualifications

  • Requires completion of a Medical Assistant training program or a certification in Medical Assisting
  • One year related experience preferred
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with patients and families and collaborate with health team members
  • CPR certification

How you’ll make an impact in this role Assist providers and nurses with patient treatments and clinical procedures while maintaining a sterile and organized examination environment. Conduct patient interviews to document medical histories, chief complaints, and accurate vital signs within electronic health records (EHR). Document real-time provider encounters, including the transcription of diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and follow-up care instructions. Process and track clinical orders for laboratory tests, radiology imaging, and medications as directed by the healthcare provider. Manage essential front-office duties, including medical filing, phone triage, and the procurement of clinical supplies to ensure seamless clinic workflow. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
