Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to provide high-quality nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry settings. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and comfort for all patients.

Requirements

Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice
Experience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursing
Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Proficient in monitoring cardiac telemetry and recognizing arrhythmias
Knowledge of medication administration and patient safety protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to document patient care accurately and timely
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and moving patients
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
Adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Ability to educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance

Work Experience

Education & Experience

Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or a Nurse Compact License (NSL)
BSN preferred.
Two years of recent (within the past 12 months) relevant clinical hospital nursing experience in a comparable setting (See attached Professional Self-assessment skills checklist).
Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
