We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Hand Surgery team.

 

Hours:  Full-time – 40 hours.

Shift: Day shift – no weekend, holiday or on call.

Location:   Dartmouth, MA

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Physician-in-Chief for Surgery, Orthopedic Physician Supervisor and receiving oversight and supervision from a consulting Orthopedist, perform diversified duties in being responsible for the medical and surgical care of patients assigned under direction of individual attending Physicians under the rules and regulations of Massachusetts governing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner practices. 
  • Provide a variety of inpatient care and services to include inpatient consultation, emergency room consultation, outpatient clinic and surgical first assist (if qualified), under the supervision of individually assigned Physician as part of daily activities.
  • Adheres to all quality-of-care measure and patient safety standards.
  • The NP/PA will work Monday through Friday varied shifts ranging from 0700-1630 or 1000-1930.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Knowledge and skill of orthopedic disorders and treatments is required.
  • Surgical First Assistant experience is preferred.
  • Skill in operating medical equipment, a variety of software applications and multiple projects is required.
  • One year Ortho experience required.
  • Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required.
  • Qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards is required.

Pay Range

USD $63.37 - USD $81.59 /Hr.

Integra at Home provides 24/7 clinical oversight of a select group of high-risk patients through nurse care management, in home NP/PA visits, community paramedicine, and remote patient monitoring, all with the aim of preventing unnecessary emergency department visits or hospital admission. Manage common acute diagnoses including COPD and CHF exacerbations, skin and soft tissue infections, pneumonia, viral upper respiratory infections, and urinary tract infections. Deliver intensive in-home diagnostic and treatment pathways, including laboratory testing, imaging, respiratory therapies, and IV medications.
