JOB HIGHLIGHTS--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the nursing team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, service planning and supervising the nursing staff. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring they receive excellent direct care.

Responsibilities--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

  • Supervising and training the nursing staff to ensure quality of care
  • Verifying the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments and orders
  • Participating in regular resident assessments and service planning, and following up with ancillary health care services as needed
  • Assisting with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations, and family communications
  • Providing direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or during on-call rotation
  • Relaying resident concerns or changes to the appropriate department manager
  • Communicating effectively with residents and staff
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Bonus opportunities--Licensed Practical Nurse part time

  • Perfect attendance bonus—$75 for full-time (up to a $1,950 annual benefit) and $35 for part-time (up to a $910 annual benefit)
  • Shift differential—$1+ per hour depending on location and shift assignment

One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred. Person should display initiative and have the ability to multitask. Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving skills are required for the ideal candidate. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR). Must successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire. Medical Assistant Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited course of study as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Accredited MA certifications include, but are not limited to, AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, AAMA and AMT. EMT license can be used in lieu of an MA certification. One year of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Person should display initiative, have the ability to multitask, and be able to assume additional responsibilities. Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential. Licensure/Certification/Registration : Must possess and maintain current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within first ninety days of employment. Must maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR). Licensure must be secured through the AHA or Red Cross.
