Our outpatient services include an Adult Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program offering day and evening sessions.
We are looking for a House Supervisor to join our Nursing Team! Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the House Supervisor provides supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas and the hospital, in general. The House Supervisor develops and manages a mental health or chemical dependency based program of nursing and other clinical services on unit. Provides overall management and administrative guidance to specifically assigned programs, assesses educational and programmatic needs, develops policies and collaborates with other health care providers in the provision of services to target populations.
Primary Responsibilities and Job Specifications
- Ensure all staff members deliver care in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice.
- Implement the unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
- Responsible for unit compliance with Joint Commission, TRICARE, HCFA, state and Federal regulatory standards.
- Responsible for unit compliance with the Patient Rights standards.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
- Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient needs and facility census.
- Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
- Ensure Infection Control and Safety and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
- Coordinate, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by nursing services.
- Report all critical incidents to the Administrator on Call (AOC), Risk Manager, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and communicate incident to oncoming supervisor; conduct investigations and implement corrective action plans when needed.
- Participate in peer review committee and quality improvement activities and is responsible for the effectiveness of the unit quality improvement program.
- Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with case management to ensure patients receive timely and quality care.
The selected candidate will provide supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas and the hospital, in general, for Weekend coverage and some weekdays.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse House Supervisor Job Requirements:
Experience/Education: Minimum (3) three years clinical experience and/or managerial, supervisory or leadership experience required or a combination of both. Degree from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with teenage and adult patient populations.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Additional Requirements: Trained in Non-violent crisis intervention training and CPR prior to accepting independent assignment or released from orientation.
