A CRNP will function in the expanded role as a professional nurse, performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of a physician licensed to practice medicine in this State The primary responsibilities will include  performing H&P’s as per hospital guidelines, Assisting physician in the care and treatment of patients within licensure guidelines, consultation as needed per hospital guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelar's Degree
  • Licensed RN and a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, meeting all requirements set forth by the State of New Jersey

Ability to prepare documentation in a timely manner Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, including communication by electronic means Knowledge of emergency psychiatric treatments and interventions Knowledge of teaching and consultation techniques Knowledge of the Agency's policies and procedures Knowledge of cultural, ethnic, and linguistic needs of clients in a culturally competent manner Perform crisis management and interface with hospital systems on an as needed basis QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program and currently licensed in New York State as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Current DEA certification. ANCC certification is an asset. Two years’ experience with individuals suffering from co-occurring severe psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders. Must be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. May be required to possess a valid NYS driving license and a clear driving record. Continued employment is based on the ability to maintain professional licensure and accreditation, and participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
