How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every clinical action aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational excellence.
  • Advocate for patient wellness by continuously monitoring clinical conditions and proactively communicating shifts in health to the broader care team.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care efforts, acting as the central hub between specialties to ensure a seamless, holistic treatment experience for the patient.
  • Translate complex physician orders into actionable care plans, ensuring medical instructions are executed with precision and clinical integrity.
  • Champion the patient’s transition home by identifying discharge needs early, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and supported return to the community.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

There are approximately 60 staff members that include experienced and newer staff including, CNA’s, RN’s, and Unit Clerks. Supported by the Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator and Operations Coordinator. We are continuously working to improve our care: Active and Involved staff-led Shared Governance Council Patient Outcome focused teams, such as Falls and Skin Integrity Work culture that encourages the question “How can we do this better” A fully engaged interdisciplinary team The Medical Surgical team is deeply committed to maintaining the standards of a Healthy Workplace for its employees and prides itself in the teamwork between the members of its professional “family.” New staff to the team (whether recently graduated or experienced) are supported with a thoughtful, structured and effective orientation.
