Enliven is seeking an experienced RN (Registered Nurse) to service home infusion and Infusion Center patients in College Station and surrounding locations. The ideal candidate must be well-trained and able to give the best nursing care possible with little supervision. They will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, cool-tempered, and capable of handling emergent situations. They must follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. Confer with physicians and pharmacies to develop the initial treatment plan based on the physician's orders and the initial patient assessment. Report patient care, conditions, and progress to the patient's physician, pharmacy, and Clinical Manager continuously. Implement patient care plan in conjunction with patient and family to assist them in achieving optimal resolution of needs/problems. Job Summary: Directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the operating room staff; and may be authorized, in the absence of the Director of the Operating Room, to make decisions affecting the operating of the surgical suite. Serves as a professional and technical subject matter expert for at least two surgical services. Demonstrates the abilities and willingness to float to other patient care areas (Pre-op, PACU) and Central Sterile Department to enhance organizational efficiency. The Registered Nurse Circulator works shifts as assigned by the Department Head. Weekday, weekend and holiday call are assigned on a rotating basis. May occasionally work past assigned shift due to extenuating circumstances related to the care and safety of a patient(s). May be assigned additional duties within scope of practice, including but not limited to central sterile duties. Physical Requirements: May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull 500 pounds with assistance. Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty. Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required.
