Responsibilities:

Accompany medical practitioners during patient visits and record detailed notes
Document patient history, symptoms, physical exams, and procedures
Enter diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions into the EHR
Review charts for accuracy and completeness
Retrieve lab results, imaging reports, and prior records for the provider
Assist with administrative tasks such as discharge instructions or referrals
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
