The Dane County Department of Human Services (DCDHS) - Badger Prairie Health Care Center (BPHCC) is currently recruiting for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). BPHCC currently has various part-time and full-time positions available. The eligible list created from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies that occur within the next six (6) months. To avoid this, the employee will be assigned to the oversight of a different RN, change in work hours/shift and/or work location. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Provide direct resident care by relating and participating therapeutically with residents during interactions in recreational, social and rehabilitative activities, serving as a role model at all times. Teach and otherwise assist residents to develop skills in daily living activities. Assist in admitting, orienting, and discharging residents. Escort residents to activities and appointments. Help maintain a clean and safe environment. Chart accurately and in a timely manner. Observe and report resident status, changes in condition and progress to the immediate supervisor. Certifications/Licenses : Must be federally certified and able to work in the State of Wisconsin. Currently on the Federal Nurse Aide Registry (inclusion on Home Health, Hospice or Hospital Registry only is not sufficient.) Special Requirements : Must have a valid driver’s license, or access to reliable personal transportation, or equivalent. Access to a telephone.
