Key Responsibilities
As a Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality care and exceptional service for our residents. Key responsibilities include:
Leadership & Supervision: Manage and support the nursing team, fostering professional growth and development.
Resident Care: Use the nursing process to assess and meet residents' clinical and psychosocial needs while maintaining accurate documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and the care team to deliver personalized and effective care.
Problem-Solving: Apply critical thinking to identify and address clinical, social, and safety issues.
Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to medication use, safety, and infection control policies.
Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Shift Coordination: Oversee efficient hand-offs between shifts to maintain continuity of care.
Documentation: Ensure resident records are accurate, complete, and compliant with policies.
Family Engagement: Communicate with residents' families and responsible parties to keep them informed and address concerns.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
Current RN license in good standing.
Extensive clinical experience in long-term care (preferred).
Prior administrative or leadership experience (a plus).
Skills:
Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities.
Diplomacy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Dedication to fostering positive team relationships and delivering resident-focused care.
