Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation, a beautiful 180-bed nursing facility located in Port Washington, New York. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Responsibilities:

• Perform selected resident care activities to assist in safe treatment and caring for the personal needs and comfort of adult/geriatric residents in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide necessary care to residents in a safe, caring manner, ensuring their dignity and autonomy are respected
• Assist with admission of residents, including preparing them for meals, feeding, and transporting them between areas of the facility
• Collect and transport specimens in a timely manner
• Respond to call bells/alarms in a timely manner
• Ensure all personal alarms are in place and functioning per individual resident's plan of care
• Communicate appropriately with nurses and other healthcare team members regarding resident care and changes in condition
• Record intake, output, vital signs, toileting, range of motion, ambulation, restraint use, nutrition, and ADL care as per facility policy

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Certificate from an accreditied CNA program
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with assistance as needed
• Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
