Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Forest Park, IL

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in our mission to help residents get better and return home as quickly as possible.
Summary:
As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your responsibilities will include planning and overseeing daily nursing activities, administering medications, completing required documentation, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants
Plan and oversee daily nursing activities
Administer medications as ordered by physicians
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel
Create and maintain a warm, personal, and positive atmosphere throughout the unit and shift
Receive and give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours
Assist in all aspects of a resident's daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement
Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current unencumbered state license
Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
CPR and First Aid certifications are required
Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pound
