Job Summary:

North Beach Rehabilitation Center, a skilled nursing facility located in North Miami Beach, FL, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our night shift team. As a small center with only 99 beds, we excel at providing personalized and customized care to our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor residents' responses to treatment care plans and supervise and direct the work of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

  • Document necessary information regarding nursing care, care plans, and observation of residents' overall conditions

  • Perform various duties to provide quality nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring administration of intravenous fluids, and placing orders for medication

  • Analyze information for appropriate interventions to prevent decline and record signs of change in condition

  • Notify appropriate staff per facility protocol to evaluate weight loss, decline in ambulation, development of skin breakdown, etc.

  • Maintain resident clinical files and keep charts updated

  • Make rounds to see each resident daily

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a Long Term Care environment is required

  • Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program

  • Must possess and maintain a current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Must be able to move, lift, and position patients
