Caregiver Full-time

SYNERGY HomeCare of Yuma is seeking experienced caregivers with at least 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience to provide in-home, non-medical care to clients in Yuma County. Whether your experience comes from caring for a family member or working in a professional setting, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to clients' non-medical needs, providing general assistance and support.
  • Offer companionship, engaging clients in conversations, reading, and other social activities.
  • Help maintain clients' mental alertness (awareness and responsiveness) through activities tailored to their interests.
  • Provide emotional support, ensuring clients feel valued and comforted.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the client’s home.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry for clients' clothing and linens.
  • Prepare and serve meals, making sure the kitchen is clean afterward.
  • Assist with personal tasks like making phone calls, writing letters, or running errands.
  • Accompany clients on walks, doctor’s appointments, and other outings.
  • Help clients with grooming and dressing, ensuring their personal care needs are met.
  • Remind clients to take self-administered medication (medications they take on their own, with reminders from you).
  • Observe and promptly report any changes in a client’s physical, mental, or emotional condition to your supervisor.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, their families, and co-workers.
  • Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and client discussions as needed.
  • Complete accurate documentation of the services you provide.
  • Safely use all equipment and supplies.
  • Protect the confidentiality of all client information.
  • Use the telephone check-in/check-out system to record your working hours.
  • Perform any additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of caregiving experience (personal or professional).
  • Strong communication skills and compassion for helping others.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Reliable, patient, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Summary: The Caregiver Administrator is a vital member of our team both in the field and in the office. This role is responsible for providing on shift training for new caregivers, meeting new clients for their first shift, in-office clerical/administrative duties and most importantly, last-minute coverage for open shifts so our clients are never left without coverage and care. This position requires an open schedule including nights and weekends, flexibility, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the continuity and quality of care for our clients. Caregiver Administrators report directly to the Designated Office Manager. Key Responsibilities: -Be available and prepared to cover open shifts on your scheduled days, including nights and weekends. -Do warm hand offs as needed, providing quality care and support to clients and caregivers. -Maintain clear communication with the office staff and management - Maintain in office hours when not covering shifts- normal business hours are 8:15am-4:15pm. -Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate team member, oversee and respond to emails and faxes -Assist in maintaining accurate records of caregiver schedules, caregiver files, client information, client files and other administrative duties as assigned. -Collaborate with the office manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional client care. -Assist with monitoring schedule for timely clock in and outs - Conduct in-home quality visits Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare or administration is a plus. -1Yr Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred. - C.N.A. certificate required -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with clients, caregivers, and team members. Be front facing to new clients and team members -Reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond quickly to last-minute scheduling needs. -Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure. -Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients and their families as well as fellow caregivers -Valid driver’s license and insurance. Physical Requirements: -Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day. -Lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. -Ability to assist clients with mobility and other daily living activities as needed
