Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) - Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities

Join our team at South Mountain Rehab Center, a respected skilled nursing facility that is passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents. Located in historic Boonsboro, Maryland, we are nestled at the foot of South Mountain between Hagerstown and Frederick.

About the Role:

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA), you will be an integral part of our team, providing compassionate and personalized care to our seniors. You will work closely with our nursing staff to assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional and social support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding)
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other health indicators
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff
• Support residents' emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives

Qualifications:

• Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) in Maryland
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred
• A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
