Job Summary:

Join our team at Home Matters Caregiving and make a difference in the lives of older adults! As a caregiver, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to our clients in their homes. Our caregivers play a critical role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

  • Provide personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance

  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry

  • Offer companionship and emotional support

  • Monitor client safety and report changes to the care team

  • Follow individualized care plans and document daily activities

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience (home care or facility-based)

  • Must reside in South Carolina

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance

  • First Aid certification required per DHEC (paid training provided if needed)

  • Must pass background check and drug screening

  • Dependable, punctual, and professional

  • Able to meet the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting pay: $17.00 per hour

  • Opportunity for pay increases based on experience, availability, and performance

  • Weekly pay

  • Mileage reimbursement

  • Paid orientation and training

  • Holiday pay

  • Performance-based raises

  • $50 sign-on stipend after first two weeks (35+ hours worked, no no call/no shows)
