Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Eagle Crest Rapid Recovery in Houston, Texas. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our nursing team to ensure their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Job Responsibilities
Provides basic nursing care to residents within the scope of nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor.
Assists with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assists residents in ambulation with or without self-help devices as instructed.
Accurately measures and records temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures (TPRs and B/P) as instructed.
Ensures that residents' personal care needs are being met in accordance with residents' wishes.
Maintains cleanliness of resident units, central bathing area, treatment and supply rooms, workrooms, and linen closets.
Provides hydration to all residents according to center policy.
Reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property.
Provides range of motion exercise as indicated by the resident's care plan.
Delivers and documents all a.m., p.m., and bedtime snacks and supplements.
Performs miscellaneous tasks as required by policy or nurse supervisor.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and 51-100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, or noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
