Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) care for residents

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility protocols

  • Monitor residents’ health status and promptly report changes in condition to the supervising RN, physician, and appropriate family members or responsible parties

  • Provide skilled nursing services within scope of practice, including but not limited to tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, wound care, dressing changes, and other ordered treatments.

  • Accurately complete all required documentation, charting, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

  • Support and implement individualized resident care plans while ensuring resident dignity, preferences, and rights are respected.

  • Observe residents closely and report significant changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to the interdisciplinary care team

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality resident care

Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by Montana required

  • BLS certification from the AHA required
