Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) care for residents

  • Reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor

  • Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. 

  • Answering patients’ call lights and requests

  • Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing

  • Preparing patients for transfers or discharge

  • Comply to all regulatory protocols and policies related to infection control and nursing care

  • Observance of patient diet restrictions as prescribed by the physician

  • Assist in the provision of emergency care

  • Location: Belle Fourche, SD

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by South Dakota required

  • BLS certification from the AHA required

Be the Best Hospice Aide You Can Be If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: Certified by the state as a nurse’s aide, with completion of required training and a passing score of 85% or higher on the agency’s competency exam; additional requirements vary by state (e.g. CHHA in CA/NJ, CGNA in MD). CPR certification required for direct patient care in Georgia and Washington.
