Job Summary:

The Palms at Sebring is seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Assistant, CNA to join our dedicated team. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. In this role, you will also coordinate resident activities, events, and programs, creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and performing vital signs
• Coordinate and lead recreational activities, social events, and programs, such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and outings
• Develop and implement activity plans tailored to each resident's interests and abilities
• Maintain accurate records of resident activities, progress, and concerns
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a long-term care setting (training and orientation provided)
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with care and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medication management systems
