Position Overview
As the Staff Development Coordinator, you will lead all aspects of staff education, orientation, and ongoing training. You will play a critical role in ensuring new hires are set up for success and current staff maintain competency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead new hire orientation for nursing staff
- Provide ongoing education, skills training, and competency validation
- Track and maintain all required certifications and in-service records
- Develop and implement training programs based on facility needs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company training requirements
- Partner with nursing leadership to support performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with survey preparedness related to education and competencies
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Previous experience in staff education, training, or leadership preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with staff development or infection control
- Familiarity with CMS regulations and survey process
