Evening Nursing Supervisor

Job Summary:

Sterling Care Forest Hill is seeking a compassionate and experienced Evening Nursing Supervisor to join our team in Forest Hill, MD. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to our residents, supervising nursing personnel, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice

  • Supervises G.N.A's and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed and providing constructive feedback

  • Contributes to the performance evaluation of nursing personnel assigned to the unit

  • Works with the Nurse Manager to determine staffing requirements, make recommendations, and develop corrective action plans

  • Reports problem areas, personnel disciplinary issues, and challenges to the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on the shift

  • Rounds the unit to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment

  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident's condition

  • Assists in developing comprehensive care plans and completes medical records

  • Maintains established infection control and standard precaution practices, reports hazardous conditions, and ensures the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents

  • Responds to call lights promptly and courteously and assists with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers

  • Communicates effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
