Activity Aide Requirements:

1 - 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

As an Activity Aide, you will:

Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.

Assist in cleaning up activity areas after completing activity functions. Follow the care plan in providing daily activities for resident. Purchase department supplies, clothing and personal items for the residents. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information & follow facility guidelines in reporting non-compliance with said guidelines & treat residents with dignity at all times. Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents.
