Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Hospital Supervisor RN, you will lead and exercise delegated administrative authority for supervising hospital personnel and functions, including patient care, in the Administrator's or Department Director's absence.
Daily, you will act as the leader and resource, facilitating efficient operations and serving as an administrative representative knowledgeable about hospital policies. You have authority, after consultation, to suspend employees affecting patient care. This role primarily covers evening/night/weekend shifts when no Administrator/Director is on-site. Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, strong clinical nursing knowledge, superior decision-making under pressure, and a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, policies, and emergency protocols.
- Serves as a leader and key resource in facilitating efficient and safe operational activities throughout facility.
- Serves as an administrative representative and resource to staff, including hospital policy/procedures and/or provides assistance with problem solving.
- Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Responsible for problem resolution and/or coordination by following the appropriate chain of command.
- Identifies and addresses departmental and/or personnel issues.
- Applies knowledge and skill to problem solving situations with minimal supervision.
Required
- Associates Other Nursing and clinical work experience as a Registered Nurse, including a minimum of two years recent work experience in a supervisory, management or other healthcare leadership capacity that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities., upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing or related field, upon hire
