Job Summary

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders. Develop, implement, and update patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices. Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition. Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. F4 is a 30-bed blended ICU and Intermediate care unit providing care for a wide variety of patient populations, primarily focused on trauma and acute care surgery. Common diagnoses include traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, blunt, penetrating, and orthopedic trauma, as well as geriatric falls. Care is also provided for surgical patients following abdominal surgeries and patients requiring long term mechanical ventilation. Education is provided to staff that includes the basic critical care course, dysrhythmia course, advanced cardiac life support certification, and trauma nursing core certification. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing. Valid RN License.
