This night-shift Registered Nurse (RN) in Utah Region assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. As a Float RN, you will optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. As an RN team member with Mercy Hospital, you will be joining a team of nurses who demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

We have reimagined our contingent staffing plan with a new Enterprise Resource Pool that offers many options for flexibility, variety, and career growth, while supporting our collective mission to deliver outstanding whole-person care to our flourishing communities. The Common Spirit Mountain Region Enterprise Resource Pool consists of both clinical and allied roles that flex or float throughout the Common Spirit Mountain Region system. Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.

Base rate + $6.75/hr pool differential + Eligible for evening $2.75/hr, night $5.75/hr, and weekend $2.00 differentials (stackable)
Assigned to one of four zones. Zone is determined based on your home location. Must be able to travel all hospitals assigned within that zone.
Hospital facilities included in the Regional Zone: Holy Cross Davis (Layton), Holy Cross Jordan Valley (West Jordan), Holy Cross West Valley, Holy Cross Mountain Point (Lehi)
24 months of hospital RN experience in unit type/specialty area in which candidate will float

Job Requirements

We have a high powered holmium laser that is used in urology for the HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure, as well as the CORI Robotic system allowing us to provide robotically assisted total joint replacement surgery. Currently we provide 10 different specialties including trauma, ortho, general, bariatric, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, interventional pain, and more. Our skilled team is cross trained for all specialties allowing for an increased knowledge base of surgical procedures and the ability to cover any patient care needs. We strive to provide safe, quality patient care and exceptional customer service to our providers. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care.
