Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination, records vitals and history, and provides treatment as applicable
Assist in determining medical problems, initiates and maintains intravenous lines, administers fluids and medications as directed through provider orders
Collaborate with providers and other medical staff when examining or treating patients, giving injections, removing sutures, and applying splints and dressings
Authorize medication refills as per providers direction and provide prescription information to pharmacies
Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders
Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs
Prepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures
Document basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records
Schedule patients for tests and follow-up appointments
Instructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions
Collaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Certificate/License: Current LPN license. Current BLS certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of one - three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. When conducting visits, you will be paid per visit point rate compensation. Your per visit pay will be calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points you accrue for various types of visits. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that is inclusive of 'direct' and 'indirect' patient care activities. Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs.
