Client Transportation Aide CNA

CNA / TRANSPORT AIDE

JOB PURPOSE:

As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. Your commitment to quality care and your dedication to service help create the exceptional experience we promise those we serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings

    Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques

    Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed

    Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions

    Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time

    Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles

    Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies

    Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

    High School diploma or GED

    CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

•    Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record -Motor Vehicle Record is required as part of pre-employment.

    1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation

    Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices

    Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely

    Excellent communication and service skills
