Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sr. License Practical Nurse in the Child, Adolescent and Adult Inpatient - Acute Treatment of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The Sr. License Practical Nurse provides technical nursing care to child through adult populations. Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines. Provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Provides direct care to patients within scope of practice.
Takes vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure on all patients and documents immediately in the EMR.
Administers medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established UBHC guidelines.
Performs venipuncture as required.
Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
Follows National Patient Safety Goals in proper identification of patient before collecting specimens.
